I think the cops need to thoroughly analyse how they worked this case so it doesn't happen again. They were clearly overwhelmed. Neighbourhood canvasses should have happened when the search was on. The alibis of all POIs should have been checked promptly. I want to have faith in the police but...

See that seems weird - we are now examining whether he's been abducted. They should have been examining that when he disappeared, not just searching then scratching their heads. They really sound like they've bungled this from the beginning.

That's what i keep thinking, ozazure. It's a stroke of a pen for a magistrate to remove that requirement if it's in the best interest of the child. It's mindblowing.

I think the lack of previous visits adds to my theory about GM being william's blood GM, unless she only recently moved there. I know the GM usually checks who's coming up and down the street, but with guests and their goings on she may have been distracted or assumed it was one of them...

I'm intrigued by the fact that the grandmother has only been mentioned as his grandmother, not as x's mother etc. I'm wondering if william's complicated past means that he is in fact a foster child, but this is his natural grandmother. It would then make sense that she mentioned to some family...

Either the police here aren't very efficient, or they're keeping a lot of information very close to their chests, and I like to think it's the latter. There seems to be so little background information that you'd normally see. It makes me wonder if there is a reason things are being kept...
