I agree, if Brittany left the keys and purse in the car, she probably believed it was operational. Perhaps a wild speculation, but I wonder. Perhaps the car WAS operational and she drove somewhere. Something bad happened and someone else returned the car with some of her belongings to cover up...

This is such a unbelievably senseless murder and so sad. I hope they throw the book at these perpetrators and they will never get free again. Can they also be federally charged?

Notes: The shooting was on Tuesday March 5, not March 6. Both Karel Mangual (who has been arrested) and Dejan Belnavis were charged with "armed assault with intend to murder". This looks like a liquidation but I cannot imagine what the motive of such a brutal act could be.
