GUILTY TX - Adrian Peterson for child abuse, The Woodlands, 2014

Discipline and "sparing the rod" do not equate to beating your child, or hitting them so hard with a switch that you leave bloody lacerations. The problem with using the "sparing the rod" passages from Proverbs is that you remove the message of Christ in the New Testament, as well as his...

Rescue at sea for sick baby

Wow, interesting given how this trip turned out for him.

GUILTY Australia - Sophie Collombet, 21, found dead in Kurilpa Park, Brisbane, 27 March 2014

I'd guess he'd steal before trying to contact Centrelink, but you never know. IMO Terribly sad, my heart goes out to her friends and family.

Pastor of mega church says wife has gone away for 1 year...

Whew, just read the whole thread. MOO, Ron Carpenter gives off some seriously creepy, entitled, shyster vibes. He's making money hand over fist with this self-focused mega-church and it's pretty gross. Initially I was concerned about Hope's disappearance, but am leaning towards her being...

Child found wandering at Orlando apartment complex

I was wondering if it was a case of her being left alone, given that she's been out alone previously (and the fact that no one has called about this before shocks me as well), or as was posted above that her parents/caregiver are ill or incapacitated. It's crazy that a child this young could be...

    GUILTY Canada - Kienan Hebert, 3, Sparwood BC, 7 Sept 2011 - #2

Nao, respectfully, he has been involved in a sexual assault case of a child and the reason it was dropped was because the child was unable to testify. He has abducted children before, and attempted abductions. The description of the cabin he squatted in isn't just a case of a few items...

Trooper: Fire in rural Pa. farmhouse kills 7 kids

Well said belimom, and thanks for sharing your story. It sounds like these parents worked pretty hard and I'd guess their routine was such that the father went off to work at this time (and sounds like he got a little more sleep while filling the milk truck) and that the mother went out to milk...

OR - Kyron Horman, 7 yo Second grader, Portland, 4 June 2010 - Part #9

They haven't released any information on this, and I believe the talent show info was in a comment on an early news story and not confirmed.

I believe in one of the press conferences they said the school had been searched and re-searched and they would continue to do so. Not a direct quote and I apologize for not having a link and unfortunately I cannot remember which thread it was on.

I had earlier dismissed him having a cell phone, but really the theory does make sense, with the search radius they are going with. And for the email from his father, it read to me like he was using the collective we regarding picking him up at the bus stop, IMO.

OR - Kyron Horman, 7 yo Second grader, Portland, 4 June 2010 - Part #8

I've lost the posts now, I believe they were on the 7th thread, in regards to the dad's request that they search the horse farm and IMO it was more than likely an issue of where did he think Kyron might go, what places should they look. I still feel that Kyron may have wandered away from...

OR - Kyron Horman, 7 yo Second grader, Portland, 4 June 2010 - Part #6

I would assume the press conferences are given to keep getting Kyron's face and info out in the media, not necessarily to give out information. How much does the rain mess with the search dogs? Does anyone local know if it rained on Friday prior to any searches with dogs? I would think it would...

OR - Kyron Horman, 7 yo Second grader, Portland, 4 June 2010 - Part #3

Thanks for the welcome :) It really seems likely that he could've gone outside, maybe looking for frogs or deciding to sneak away and explore somewhere near the school since the day was more relaxed, thinking he would be able to look and come back before anyone noticed. Or if he is like my...

OR - Kyron Horman, 7 yo Second grader, Portland, 4 June 2010 - Part #3

My first post here, I really hope they find this little boy. As for playing games like Treasure Island on cell phones, as far as I know you cannot. Treasure Island runs with flashplayer and so far there aren't any smartphones that support this. You can update Facebook, add pictures, etc. but...
