This series includes Joran going berserk when confronted about the Lie Detector results he did for "Terror Jaap". It's in Dutch in 8 parts. The one in question, as I recall was either in the middle or towards the end. That scene is scary.
Jaap...
I edited my above post RE casinos in vDM.
In case you missed it.
And wouldn't his picture (and [Chilean, Interpol] agents) be all over the casinos,--as that's where they'd expect him to go to?
Thanks again.
We're all guessing on his plans. He certainly grew up around a casino and tourists. I was just thinking that having supposedly given away all his money, and given what they were after him for now, and that I think the lack of extradition from Aruba again--I would think he'd want...
OK.
Just that the way the article says they intercepted him as he was boarding implied to me that they were there waiting for him. He would not likely have given his true name to a taxi dispatcher. So again IMO, it seems like they may have known it was him and were there waiting.
And what about my question above.
Does the fact that the Chilean police intercepted him as he was boarding a taxi
"when he went toboard a taxi that he had rented"
Does this not imply that he called for a taxi, and his call was intercepted?
Thank you!
But I think you also noted above that he got so far into Chile, yes?
Does it make sense to you, that if he planned to sail away from some seaport, that he would have tried that closer to the Peruvian border??
Thank you, and I am sorry too if I misinterpreted what you said.
I have no doubt that the Chilean people are wonderful, and had suffered immensely with that dictatorship. I am American and feel bad that my country was involved in bringing that torturing dictatorship to power.
I was trying...
Thanks.
But again as I noted, he supposedly gave away all money had to the drivers, even his watch. So what's he gonna gamble with?
And would he be gambling publicly then? I would think escape to Arruba, woul be the ony thing on his mind at that time.
If true, this does imply, that for whatever reason, he picked Vina del Mar to go to--presumably as part of his final escape plan? And that seems to have changed in later reports to Valparaiso.
Thank you.
Finally some details!!
"Joran van der Sloot was arrested when he went to board a taxi, he had rented, due to Viña del Mar. At this time of day, it remains on the premises of the Department of Immigration Police Investigations Based in Santiago Chile."
I guess this is a "robot...
