I do think certain things would help. First, enforce already existing laws. Nicolas Cruz likely would not have had firearms if the police/FBI would have done their jobs. Well the point is that any kind of gun control scheme that includes registration of all guns, is never going to happen. Why not discuss options that are feasible rather than outlandish ideas that will go nowhere?

I don't know of any gun owners who want the government having a list of all the guns we own. That's something that just won't go over well, I promise.

Should be obvious. The point is the kid murdered someone with something other than a gun. Take away guns, next thing will be knives and baseball bats. Or, at least require liability insurance on those items in case they are used for murder.

Most kids who want to hunt are introduced to it by their parents. My daughters are 10 and 12 and they both want to hunt. It helps that we eat wild game regularly, and they love it. They also know it's much healthier than what is available at the grocery store.

No, that's not it. It's people's busy lives these days, kids in sports and other after school activities, and all the electronic distractions, that keep kids away from "real life." Everybody has to eat, some kill their own meat, while other people pay others to do it for them.
