    He will be tried on the evidence regarding whether he committed the crime. Past behaviour is not usually allowed to be brought up because it unnecessarily influences a jury as I understand it.

    Absolutely. It is just a question of degree. I too hold this opinion. I doubt this but I don't know enough to dispute it. This in itself works against your argument that the way you were raised causes sociopathy. You aren't a sociopath (that is the ultimate compliment by the way)...

    Ausgirl you just enjoy tormenting me :) I agree by the way. They feel for themselves. They certainly can maintain a pretence for a long while. These are "high functioning sociopaths". There is a spectrum. No doubt there.

    Sociopaths don't have mad interpersonal skills. They have no feeling of empathy and can only reason based upon past experiences. Emotions are irrational to sociopath and leave them floundering and confused.
