    Seems he no longer had Linda when he was seen cleaning his car. Is it possible that he found these items while cleaning the car and needed to dispose/hide them.

    You raise an excellent point about how older men can be perceived as "creepy" by young women. A fact that I believe takes many men a lot longer to recognize that it probably should! My own daughters (ages 20 & 23) used to have to make their father stop telling his corny jokes to young waitresses...
