IMO, this may be his way of maintaining control with the investigators/interrogators. With this confession, he still has information they need so in his mind he's the one with the upper hand.

Not really, most of these incidents happened 15 miles or more south of Bensalem. Honestly, this isn't all that uncommon in a city the size of Philadelphia.

There is a Comly Rd in Far Northeast Philly (close to Bensalem) and a Comly St that's in the Lawncrest section which is several miles south. This Comly Street is only blocks from his Magee Ave address in the Oxford Circle neighborhood. Easy to confuse them!

Here in the Philadelphia area (where these murders occurred) it's been a common practice for generations to throw your old shoes over the wires on your street. No symbolism to it as far as I'm aware of.

I'm still catching up, but there's a casino right in Bensalem called Parx Casino. It's no more than 5 minutes from his house.
