It makes me disgusted to think about it but Edmund Kemper killed his grandparents because after he killed one he didn't want the other one to be sad that they were gone. It may be a similar mindset.
The main information I'm waiting on now is how he knew her or chose his target, and if he admits to other crimes (going from 0 to double homicide and kidnapping isn't impossible but I think it would be more likely that he stalked or did some other crime in the past and just wasn't caught)

Gosh, I can tell this guy cares a lot for Jayme but I hope they look into why whatever they did to investigate didn't work. Why did the guy fall under the radar?, why did a child have to save herself?
