    It was posted in one of the previous threads that there is an app from the school to report absences. So theoretically one of the parents could have reported the absence early morning from bed.     IME, this is common in autistic folks, who tend to value accuracy in speech. It often comes off as over explaining to neurotypical people, when it’s the speaker trying to make sure they’re not being misunderstood.

    Could be a number of reasons. No gas, insurance recently expired, mechanical problem, didn’t have a car seat for the baby but friend did and didn’t want to uninstall/reinstall.

    I keep thinking about this too. Sliding glass doors often have a lock on the handle that flips up or down and is pretty easy even for a 6 year old to unlock.
