I had assumed it had something to do with having seven kids, especially with the premie... sounds like for awhile they were really struggling making it all work timewise and with all the kids and having to travel to and from NICU and then it looks like the mom was doing some online work more...
I have to admit if I was a 16yo or especially a parent of a 16yo if every time they were outside by themselves a neighbor made it a point to come over and talk to them I would be very wary of them and avoid/tell my child to avoid them which would probably have that neighbor thinking I/they were...
so from what neighbors say in that article the boys could be found out and about on their own even away from the house, clearly they had their own independence and freedom... I don't know about that neighbor that would "make it a point" to try to talk to the 16yo whenever he saw him alone...
Unfortunately, and as awful as it is to comprehend, I really just can't see there being a ring leader here in this situation, not with the others trying to escape and calling 911 for help, and it obviously being a situation that had to have been discussed and planned out for some time. I...
I just have not been able to get this story off my mind, I was reading about the 911 call and sounds like there was a lot more to it with the caller able to discuss location and ask for help and sounds of a 'gruesome' struggle were heard, it makes me wonder about a comment in one of the papers I...
Inthedetails, it's just so hard for me to fathom because abstractedly it makes perfect sense but you still have to take the actions to get there that I just don't know how they were able to follow through with that and even after the fact having no remorse (but maybe that is just shock?) I was...
Kind of off topic as well perhaps, but the Harvard comment just really rubs me the wrong way... what does homeschooling have to do with that? If anything he had more opportunity/free time to take their online free courses and get ahead that way to get in, nothing at all stopping him, but...
I still feel it just really does not seem as if they were that type of homeschoolers, considering their kids had cell phones and internet access and jobs outside the home and blogs, (even the younger boy was posting on the internet a couple years ago, so at 10yo?), and allowed to play violent...
Those are all cases where they acted alone, also they both used guns, I was wondering if there has ever been a case like this where siblings acted together killing both their parents and other siblings (all related) and more violently as is the case here with knives.
All I can think is that maybe the brothers were caught doing something together for which they were incredibly ashamed or would get in trouble for so they were already 'partners in crime' so to speak and maybe even were going to be separated because of it, and maybe the other siblings witnessed...
I don't understand if both boys are cooperating with police and they have given a full confession why don't the police know the motive?
Did something happen in the last couple of months for this family, because this just doesn't fit at all. Just being isolated does not make people crazy like...
I'm seriously traumatized by this... I read all these horrible stories and I feel like there is always something I can point to, it may not make sense, I may never relate to or fully understand it and of course it is always troubling, but I can just say well there's evil or psychosis or...
Everything I read, everywhere I look, it just seems like this was nothing but a very loving, very happy, very family oriented home (from their actual online presence and people that actually spoke with and knew them as opposed to strangers and people that didn't know them)... I just do not get...
