GUILTY UK - Jodi Jones, 14, Dalkeith, Scotland, 30 June 2003

A very interesting case. I have no idea whether Luke committed the murder or, if not, who did, but it certainly looks as if there is no actual evidence demonstrating his guilt. He was only 14 years old at the time and was treated appallingly by the police; he must have been terrified. In that...

France - 5 shot, 4 dead in French Alps, may have int'l ramifications, 2012 #2

Goodness knows. I really believe the French police made their minds up from the outset that this case involved the brother and are chasing any lead to prove that. Personally I think their investigation is prejudiced and too narrow as per this report from the Express...

GUILTY UK - Georgia Williams, 17, Shropshire, 26 May 2013

GUILTY UK - Georgia Williams, 17, Shropshire, 26 May 2013

IF he did kill her then I am not sure whether or not it was planned but I would tend to think not given his panicked reaction on the Monday and following days. It didn't seem very thought through - fleeing to Scotland. It depends too on whether the suspect thought Georgia had told anyone where...

GUILTY UK - Georgia Williams, 17, Shropshire, 26 May 2013

I had another thought. Perhaps the suspect confessed yesterday and also gave them some idea where to look for the body. Given the extensive woodland area along the Nant Y Garth pass, let alone in the other areas around Wrexham, they found a body very quickly. I suppose a confession would count...

GUILTY UK - Georgia Williams, 17, Shropshire, 26 May 2013

His mother, a teacher, his stepfather, an electrician, and his step sister were on annual holiday in Italy. The suspect made a post about it on facebook to Georgia Williams, saying he was 'free/had the house to himself'. I guess that is why he arranged the photo shoot. I think the van they were...

GUILTY UK - Georgia Williams, 17, Shropshire, 26 May 2013

I hope that I am wrong but Georgia had gone to the house for a photo shoot and I can't help but think that the evidence may be recordings or photo's of her death. The suspect in custody was obsessed with her and if he was the perpetrator that type of personality may have wanted to 'own' images...

GUILTY UK - Tia Sharp, 12, New Addington, London, 3 Aug 2012 #5

The evidence being presented in this case is unimaginably horrible and disturbing. RIP Tia.

France - 5 shot, 4 dead in French Alps, may have int'l ramifications, 2012 #2

So slow this investigation. Seven months to 'find' the DNA seems extreme. However, reading between the lines, the French police seem to still suspect the brother and the two little girls have only limited contact with their natural family. I so hope they clear this up as if the family are...

France - 5 shot, 4 dead in French Alps, may have int'l ramifications, 2012 #2

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2236716/British-family-massacred-Alps-shot-crazed-serial-killer-hatred-tourists-say-detectives.html The police have linked the killing to the murder of another Tourist in France in July who was shot dead while his children slept in the family car. :)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/9684958/Alps-murders-gunman-has-killed-before-say-French-authorities.html This Telegraph article published 17.11.2012 has quite a good precis of some of the main theories to date. My thoughts are that the use of a first world war Luger...

I love the UK and Eire thread. In fact I'd like a Europe thread so I could easily see what is happening where. Even better a clickable world map!!! Maybe that's asking too much.....

France - 5 shot, 4 dead in French Alps, may have int'l ramifications, 2012 #2

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20373970 Report today from the BBC. Basically still no breakthrough. The French police are still saying: 1. the gun was an old Luger 2. the daughter and father were out of the car, the rest of the family inside it when the shooting started. New suggestions from...
