Nothing seems straightforward about this case. It has to have been someone in the family, because there seems to have been a lack of concern on their part when Charlotte actually went missing. Did they actually file a missing persons report, or push the police to investigate, I wonder? It's...
I feel the same. I follow a lot of cases here on WS, though usually I avoid the ones with small children because they are just too hard to read about. I live in BC too and so I got the Amber Alert notification yesterday and when I came here to check on another case I saw Hailey's name on the...
Oh that poor tiny girl. I was so hoping they would find her alive and well and when they said it was someone who was or had been romantically involved with the mom, I thought maybe wee Hailey would be found alive. I cannot wrap my mind around why this man would do this.
I felt the same, it did seem that even if that was how he felt he could have kept it to himself (or as you stated in another post, tell the RCMP but don't say it to reporters.)
I do wonder why her father hadn't taken her back to her mom yesterday- the articles say she was due back with her mom yesterday. I'm thinking whatever stopped him from returning her probably has to do with this horrible situation.
Yes, you do crossing from Canada into the US, I think it has been that way for a couple of years at least now. That's why I think he didn't head that direction, regardless of whether he was ahead of the AA or not. I remember crossing in the '80s and they almost waved you through. I haven't...
I'm wondering if one of the neighbours witnessed the van speeding away? I can't think how else they would have a description. I sure hope someone paid attention when they heard the little girl screaming. I live in BC. I can't imagine it would have been easy for the abductor to get over the...
Would he be able to fly out of the country, being that he has a record? I'm asking, because I don't know and don't live in the US, so am not up on US law.
I'm thinking of cases like Grateful Doe where it has been four months since DNA has been submitted. I realize there is a rush in a situation like this, I just still thought it often took weeks to get DNA results back.
I thought the police had said they believed there were at least two suspects in the home with the family, but I could be remembering what I've read wrong- this is a huge thread with so many posts.
Wow- I didn't know DNA could be processed that quickly. I'm so glad they have at least one of them in their sights. Which should lead to finding the other very quickly.
