One thing that I think is important to keep in mind when we start thinking about mortality rates is that, just like other respiratory illnesses such as the flu, there are doubtless more (likely many more) cases of mild illness in Wuhan that haven’t been tested or officially confirmed and aren’t...
This is tragic, and also the kind of crime that scares me the most. I'm sure we all assume that the people who we've had long term, significant friendships with are safe and trustworthy and wouldn't do anything like this, but how do you ever really know? It's a terrifying thought.
This is a theory that I've thought about a lot and really want to buy into, but then again I've watched countless true crime shows where there's a ransom note or similar situation and, rather than to contact LE immediately, the involved party follows directions to not involve LE (as I yell at my...
I totally agree. And I'm not even going to give her a fear "pass" regardless- the outcome is the same, and the outcome is inexcusable. I just find the absolute refusal of a lot of people to even consider the possibility that fear played a role in this to be kind of baffling, I guess.
I think it's absolutely plausible that PF threatened her life and/or the life of her children and that she disposed of the phone out of fear of that threat when she otherwise would not have.
If KK was the person who was solicited by PF for the murder of KB, we know (or at least can assumed...
She didn't look defiant to me. She looked upset; and I don't think there's any way of telling right now whether it's for show, whether it's because she's overwhelmed, whether it's because she feels guilty, or whether it's because she's angry she got caught (or any combination of those factors)...
I know that many disagree with me, but I do believe that KK was scared and that fear was a driving force in her involvement. It's not an excuse and she should certainly be held accountable for her actions/ lack of action (I'd love to see the eventual sentence include at least some jail time...
This is pure speculation and gut feeling, but the longer this drags on with no clear suspect or scenario emerging, the more I wonder if it's possible that it's mistaken identity. Maybe the shooter shot James as soon as he opened the door, had an "oh no" moment when he saw Denise (realizing that...
Obviously I hope I'm wrong and that she's okay out there somewhere, but I will be shocked if this turns out to be anything but a suicide (or perhaps an accidental death). Her daughters said that she always dressed nicely, so I doubt that she would go to meet someone in such laid back attire. I...
This has to have been a spur of the moment thing and/or they have no idea how to avoid being found. I mean, if youre trying to avoid detection you just dont stand around in ATMs, convenience stores, and pawn shops. Thats like the trifecta of guaranteed to be on surveillance.
