Lilly was home sick from school due to a cough. How come Lilly's cough was not heard going farther away as the children disappeared? Silence only.

Lots of rental cabins, and many people live there year round. It's not a quiet little resort. You drive up to this area, it's at 6,770 feet.

I'm in So Cal and interact with coyotes every single day. Yes, sometimes packs. Granted, I'm a grown up walking a smallish Spaniel. The boots and backpack or something else would have been found by now.
