According to THIS he has a "condition that puts him in danger," which sadly brings the river into play. There were also police scanner reports that night that may relate. Not sure about the rules here of sharing those details
If it didn't go viral he might be alive and in custody. <modsnip> If it didn't go viral a bunch of social media attention <modsnip> wouldn't be camped out on the Laundries lawn begging for "donations." If it didn't go viral BLs sister's kids would have endured far less harassment....
perhaps the backpack to carry whatever it is you mean to use to complete the task? along with whatever items you may want to have with you before doing so (including, say, a notebook where you may leave behind some message and a place to put it that will keep it safe)?
rising water in swamps doesn't necessarily mean current. And there remains a lot of grass, trees, and so forth that would prevent something from going particularly far in most cases. It sounds to me like the parents had a good idea where he might go, and they were right.
It's hard to guess what's going on in the head of someone in his situation. He may not yet have made a decision about what he was going to do. He may have grabbed what he always grabs on the way out. Or he may have been looking at things on the computer (pics, etc) before making a final...
How so? He could have told them almost anything (she's there with a friend, i dropped her off at X, we broke up and she's traveling with s0-and-so, etc). There is no evidence we've been presented with that indicates they were aware of anything going awry.
haven't seen a lot of Sainthood talk. I think they were dealt an impossible hand (one that none of us know the full story on at this point) and are now dealing with a tremendous sadness, as is the Petito family. To imagine all these scenarios where they are actively aiding in his criminal acts...
we're just not going to give up on the "Laundrie family as conspiratorial criminal masterminds" theory, are we?
Again, Occam's Razor: The parents told LE where he'd probably be. LE spends millions driving their expensive trucks all over the preserve, finding nothing. Park opens, parents go...
They can be quite beautiful. There are high and low areas, and plenty of room to move between wet areas (except during serious flooding). I've spent many, many hours in swamps.
i think there are a few people out there who invested a lot of their free time imagining the Laundrie family to be part of some deeply connected crime syndicate, rather than a grieving, confused family dealing with an unimaginable situation.
disagree on this one. Ever since i got one i keep it in my hiking bag - especially if i go somewhere wet. Takes one slip, one unexpected downpour (hello Florida) or one stupid place to put it down to ruin electronic devices, wallet, etc.
