The shame is that now when another young woman goes missing, there will be people who don't believe she's been abducted and will think she also left of her own free will. It only takes one case to doubt all the rest.

I've seen off topic threads posted before, when some breaking news comes out. I don't see a problem. A mod can advise if there is an issue.

So Scott, listen up. If they would convict Martha Stewart, you are not above the law, either, pal. Be very afraid.

I'm pretty sure she does face some hefty fines, too. I'm listening to news coverage on the radio and that is what they said a while ago.

Oh I think she is 100% guilty, and I wasn't even on the jury! I said it's not a good thing in reference to Martha herself--she's probably going to prison. I'm glad the jury did the right thing and didn't let Martha's celebrity interfere. Say, did you see the new Martha Stewart bath towels on...

I heard though that any time would be served concurrently, so even if she got the max for all 4 charges, she'd only do 5 years. And it will probably be even less than that, but they are saying she most likely will do SOME jail time. Unbelievable.

I was going to open a thread about this but figured everyone had heard by now. So very tragic. I instantly imagined little Laci welcoming her into Heaven.
