I noticed that as well. There was a definite change in his voice when he answered that particular question. (did he know VM) His voice dropped much lower and seemed to become tighter. I hesitated to mention it before but I wanted to support your observation.

I was the one who posted something about a community event (a funeral) and I was mistaken.

Maybe I'm confusing VM with KV, who was also very recently murdered while jogging, but I thought I read that she went to a funeral earlier on the day she went missing. I will look for a link to the information.

I would imagine that if VM had made plans to meet up with someone there would be some record of the conversation on telephone/text/SM. Perhaps that is why her telephone is missing. (If the perp thought that possession of the phone would be the only way to erase record of the interaction)...
