I do think you need to give them some time to come to terms with what has happened today I think it a bit unrealistic to expect them to start apologising for the crimes of their daughter shortly after the verdict but once they have reflected on events maybe we could expect a different response...
Yes I think you may be right re the documentary and its timing but not sure how I feel about that. Would hope families involved would be consulted but doubt that their feelings would be considered by the press.
Yes and this is yet another example of the frustration in following this trial and trying to be objective but having to rely on scraps of testimony from the courtroom
I am puzzled by the hostile tone of this reply to my comment. There are lots of non-traumatic causes of bleeding and I would like to know how the doctor eliminated all (apart from the rare one he quoted) when he a) had no input into the clinical care of the baby and b) there was no post mortem...
There are many medical reasons for bleeding without the involvement of trauma and the mothers testimony is not fact. It is her recollection of a point in time.
"Child E suffered trauma" is not a fact it is his speculation and he cannot say with 100% certainty that the type of n/g tube used in the unit is incapable of causing harm to a neonate , it is this type of medical testimony that worries me I am undecided about this case so far but I do not find...
