    I've posited, as have others, that the family likely knows, which explains why they aren't screaming from the mountaintops for help, clues, information. It's just so very sad. I can't imagine their pain, whatever the circumstances.

    So, she may have been considering becoming a midwife in her retirement years? Makes sense given she was a nurse. And it’s been reported that she was an avid baker. She was making plans, one could assume. I hope what happened to her comes to light. And I continue to hope that she is OK.

    It is worrisome, especially for those who live in the area. I continue to sadly believe Abbie’s family knows what happened to her. Perhaps if folks emailed the local reporters asking for an update, the story will regain traction?

    I thought he was found about a week later - my mistake. But my point is that he was found. And given the similarities of the terrain, ocean front location, I believe that if Abbie was down in the area, she would have been found by now. It’s just so awful and bewildering.

    I neglected to add...Mr. Beard lived close to The Bluffs in Montauk - a cliffside community. He didn’t end up in the water. Not proof of anything, but amazing parallels IMHO.
