Anyone see this ? I caught the latter half (mid way through the reconstruction) so missed Jo's parents, but I did think the chap being interviewed at the end was very emotive and damning regarding VT & his conduct during the trial.

:worms: This whole business is un-peeling like a decaying onion, each layer as rotten as the last. To think, this time last week many of us were still giving weighty consideration to finding this man not guilty of murder (not that 🤬🤬🤬🤬 proves he is a murderer, but we were assured by his QC of...

I did wonder, seeing as he looked at various weather report websites, whether he would know that the snow would assist him in disguising the body (although this is tenuous if we accept he tried to push the body over the wall into the quarry). I live 40 miles away and we had been pretty much...

Oh I see, inside information rather than information repeated from the trial. Got it. Thanks.

I know that some "information' apparently ended up on Twitter, but what I don't understand was how this was before the trial.

Interesting article asking why the JY case captured the interest of the public, and why VT seemed such an unlikely killer. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/8858108/Young-employed-and-Dutch-why-man-who-murdered-Joanna-Yeates-unnerved-us-all.html

I agree - the administrators wouldn't have the happy emoticons if we were not encouraged to use them on occasions. I wouldn't want to live in a world where death, cruelty and sadness over rides the ability to smile - perhaps if VT had more levity and happiness in his heart he might not have been...

You could say the same about thousands of highly educated "loners & geeks" the world over. Let's hope they don't all harbour sick sadistic fantasies and have a propensity to murder.

Different level of Aspergers I suppose, I know a young person with Aspergers who is at Uni at the moment, having a hard time fitting in but determined to beat the problems he faces and get a good education. It's not a sentence to a non fulfilling life, and as you are aware, some cope better than...

Oh my, three things I wasn't aware of ! (are they facts or media speculations ?) For what it's worth I think the guy has psychological problems, and probably has had for a long time, but as he is well educated and very intelligent, he appears high functioning and has been able to live a...

Not sure which site I read in on (the Facebook page perhaps ?) but i have seen some interesting information in recent days about how the Dutch deal with life sentences and parole, IIRC prisoners actually are less likely to be released automatically at the given minimum parole time than over...

Transfer of fibres works both way though, may be none of Jo's DNA on his clothing but maybe there were unidentified fabric fibres on Jo's body or clothing. This is the Sun we are discussing here; I am not expecting the greatest investigative journalism !
