The smallest detail, a near forgotten memory or even a personality trait may help lead authorities to the person or persons responsible for the Short family slayings...
Question: Since the FBI have put up much of the reward money, were the one's who had AMW do the update on the show, and have been the one's keeping their site updated with all of what they call new info, wouldn't they also be the one's in charge of running prints & dna thru the databases? If...
After watching AMW with the updated info on the Short family, I was searching thru pics of known serial killers and ran across another one who I thought looked like the composite sketch from the Short family murders:
Composite from Short Family...
Thank you for posting that pic! That is part of the flea market that was and still is across the street from the Short family home. I've often wondered the same thing as you, if that truck was parked there way back in 2002. I know the flea market was there, but for the life of me cannot recall...
I have no way of knowing for sure if the Short's had cell phones, it was never released. If I were to make a guess, I would say probably not. From what I have been able to gather, these were very "simple" people. Also, in the area where they lived, back in 2002, I know first-hand cell...
Thanks for the important info. I should know better by now to do my research instead of reporting what our local cable station says. I stand corrected :blushing:
The problem with this is that now that they have finally released info stating they have fingerprints, hair and shell casings, they don't match Joseph Duncan's (isn't this who you're talking about). LE stated they have run the prints & dna/hair, and it doesn't come back or point the finger to...
Morgan Harrington's (the 18 yr old that was murdered in Va in Oct. of 2009) parents have been helping to push familial dna testing in the State of Va. There are very few states who use this type of testing, and the UCLA is getting ready to do battle with Va if they pass this in Va. It has helped...
You're welcome. Just wish I were better at it :waitasec:
It was a 22, but that's all I know. I don't think it's ever been stated by LE if it was a handgun or shotgun. If I were to guess, I would think shotgun cause 22 handguns just aren't that accurate, and each of the Shorts only had one shot...
As a local resident, many many people have felt this case was committed by someone local, but not Bowman. Several popular online sleuths who have been involved with researching this case, say they felt that Joseph Duncan was responsible. But now that they have finally released info saying...
When the $100,000 was first announced to now be the reward, it had the stipulation that if the money didn't lead to an arrest that eventually lead to prosecution, the reward would expire in a certain amount of time. Last I heard, this was state, federal, and money put up by an anonymous donor.
These are the crime scene photos taken from the AMW video which aired Saturday (they are not very good, if anyone else here knows how to screencap & upload it would be much appreciated):
For anyone new to this case, you almost have to pull teeth to find articles from the early days. Most all of the earlier links are broken. If you are interested in finding info on your own, you should go to the following pages and search for the stories using keywords...
After story aired on AMW, story updates:
