Clapping Man's real name is Michael Jones. Never heard anyone call him Frank, but I don't know everyone. :)

There's an AA man with dreadlocks nicknamed The Clapping Man whom many consider a nuisance on the Downtown Mall. But BG/JM are NOT the same guy. Clapping Man's real name is Michael Jones. People were mentioning him in a very early thread.

A lot of us Charlottesville residents would like to know this. I have never seen data and couldn't find anything with a Google search, though surely the statistics must exist somewhere.

No, but grad students with families sometimes live over there. It's not a creepy area in the way that some are.

    Hawes later tweeted a retraction. It's 164.

I don't know how to make a map, but Water Street, where the parking garage is, runs parallel to the Downtown Mall. The garage is at 3rd SE and Water. If you keep going down Water Street, it eventually starts to turn and ends up going under the Belmont Bridge.

If I'm remembering correctly, there was a DNA match to a perpetrator of a rape in Northern Virginia. The sketch is from the victim, who survived.

No, if you are standing at the door of Sal's facing the mall, you see a seating area in front of you. Behind that is where Hannah passes. To the right is the Paramount Theater and to the right of that is the courtyard where the fountain, Zocalo, and Petit Pois are.

Look all the way to the left of the video. You can see a high five, just barely.

Carver is at the end of the downtown mall, one block back. It has a large gym as well as classrooms they could use for staging things.

Good map, but didn't the eyewitness say she turned towards the mall at Fellini's? That's 2nd St. NW. You have her entering the mall near Zocalo, which is 2nd St. NE. (Yes, it's confusing.) If she did indeed turn towards the mall at Fellini's, then she'd have been on the mall for a couple...

It's not a shopping mall in the sense I believe you are thinking of. It's a portion of Main Street which was bricked over in the 70s and closed to cars except for a couple of crossovers, one near each end. No escalators. The outdoor eating areas for the restaurants, fountains, trees, etc. are...

The Belmont Bridge is an overpass of Avon Street where it crosses over Water Street. It is right next to the Charlottesville Pavilion.

Perfectly comfortable--not cold. In the 60s.

From what I've heard on the news, I'm not sure I'm following you. From the time stamps on the videos and the witness at Fellini's, my thoughts are that she probably went towards McGrady's by taking 10th or thereabouts, then turned right/east onto Preston/Grady towards the Shell, and proceeded...
