New trial for former Franklin County deputy Jason Meade delayed several weeks The trial was scheduled to begin on Jan. 8, but has now been pushed back several weeks.

New murder trial date set for former Franklin County deputy Jason Meade A Franklin County judge on Wednesday announced that a jury trial will start on Dec. 8.

Per the January request for continuance, the new trial date is 5/21/2025.

The case was rescheduled to February 27,2025. There will be a motion hearing on December 12, 2024 and motions must be filed by November 14.

Somehow I missed this update from August 14, 2024. The retrial of retrial of Meade is still set for October 31st. Ohio family reaches $7M settlement in fatal police shooting of Casey Goodson Jr.

Looks like Julie was covered on the CBS Sacramento news back in June. "My hope is a miracle is going to happen," said Julie's youngest sister Melanie Worden. "That someone's going to see her, someone's going to remember her."

Per the Franklin County court docket it looks like the January court date is going to be Monday January 29,2024 at 9am.

Yet another year passes without justice for the family. I hope that the trial will finally begin soon.
