Do you think the prosecutor proved the case?

    1. Body (homicide) 2. Murder weapon with hollow tip ammunition (means) 3. Accused admitted firing the weapon (opportunity) 4. Ear witness testimony of screams and arguments during homicide (motive) 5. Texts indicating recent jealousies and arguments in day prior to homicide (motive)

They were droplets which came from reeva's hair as OP carried her through the bedroom on the way from the bathroom to the stair.

This is not as much a reflection of the SA system as it is the nature of this case.. This "whydunnit" rather than "whodunit". The impression that the state has not argued their version as much as attacked OPs, it is only so little of the States case is disputed. They have demonstrated means...

It is an absolutely terrible phrase to use. It is particularly unfortunate since his defence is that the last time he convinced himself that his life was on the line when it wasn't he shot his girlfriend in the face.

I thought Nel missed an opportunity there. The correct response would be "Mr Pistorius, it seems that whenever you are caught out in the wrong you would have us believe your life was in jeopardy!"

Meds that are working might also be changed if there are undesirable side effects or if another (seemingly unrelated) med is changed or added that might cause a drug interaction or counter indication.

Jan is a professor of pathology with over 25,000 post mortems under the belt. I think you can take the patronising quotation marks away.

My iDevices periodically back themselves up to iCloud storage when they are plugged in to charge and connected to a wifi. This could take five minutes or longer. App or iOS updates might similarly take some time if try are set to automatically download.

This is probably going to be a really stupid question. But what did RS mean by "rabbit things". Is this slang, or literal?

It provides (possible) motive. With means, opportunity presented and taken, witnesses (albeit ear witnesses), a body, and literally a smoking gun it's shaping up as a pretty solid case that he did, indeed, murder her. All we are lacking here is consciousness of guilt from the accused, it seems.

Well it's a bit quiet in here so I thought I would see if I can answer my own questions. According to this website that seems to know what it's talking about, even if you accept that OP didn't know who he was shooting, he was still guilty of murder. BBM. So, all this arguing about bat shots...

But is it culpable homicide? I thought culpable homicide was where you acted negligently and involuntarily caused a death (like drinking and driving, or hunting with Dick Cheney - I kid). But if you unload 4 hollow tips into a person who poses no rationale threat to you beyond being in your...

I disagree. It is not reasonable, when deciding to use deadly force, to assume a noise you hear at 3 am is an intruder. Not even in South Africa. This case has highlighted that. I reject the premise that firing blindly through doors at noises in the night has saved more lives than it has...
