The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office utilizes grant money awarded through the National Institute of Justice to perform innovative DNA techniques on complex unidentified remains cases, and we are proud to collaborate with Parabon Nanolabs for those services. We couldn't have received this...
The Oregon State Police are still actively investigating this case. Please send them good thoughts and wishes, as these cases are very hard even for seasoned professionals. Thank you and take care...
Here is a more thorough account of the collaborative efforts put forth to identify this little boy.
OREGON STATE POLICE MEDICAL EXAMINER'S OFFICE ASSISTS JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE IN IDENTIFYING THE OLDEST UNIDENTIFIED HUMAN REMAINS CASE IN OREGON
Please keep an eye out for the official press release through the Jackson County Sheriff's Office regarding little Stevie Crawford. It will have accurate information and should give a timeline regarding the investigative efforts that were put forth on this 57+ years-old case. We were honored...
All, I apologize. I just re-read the "etiquette and information" page that Websleuths posted in 2008, and it looks like I may have violated your rules. I am only looking for different avenues to target more possible matches, but I didn't mean to imply that we might whisper to each other at a...
I am working on this case. Although I cannot answer any questions during the investigation, I can make a plea for my Websleuths community to keep an eye out for the profiles of possible missing juvenile females who have gone missing in the last year (~2019 or more recent), 6-10 years of age at...

Update on DNA analysis for all unidentified human remains: our main laboratory that OSP uses, the University of North Texas, has been shut down and non-operational for the last 8 weeks. We will not see DNA results on any of our UPs for quite some time. A realistic timeline would probably be...

Linn County Sheriff's Office issued the press release before I had attempted a stature estimation on the remains. The OR ME's Office believes she's 5'3" - 5'10" (large range, I know, but the remains are quite degraded and we are being cautious). The weight was determined by her clothing size.
Hello, all. Is there anyone who can isolate the picture of Angela's tattoo and send it to me as a jpg image? I need it for her NamUs profile. Thank you, Nici
