I don’t take cabs in NYC that often, but because of the partition between the back and front, convos with the driver just wasn’t a thing! But of cousre, he must have paid by cash, so maybe said a few more words than just a destination.

Yep, that’s what cabs are like in NYC now, and there’s a tv screen there in the middle of that partition, and you can use it to pay for your ride.

IF (and I don’t think this is the case), he isn’t from the US - then his fingerprints would have been taken when arriving into the US. So I’m not sure he’d have been so casual about touching things (ie water bottle) without gloves.

Is it though? I have very little time for NYPD (and even less time for Mayor Adams!), but not sure what they could do different here. They got to the scene quickly, they seem to have been pretty meticulous in scanning CCTV and tracing his steps and gathering evidence. He likely got out of NYC...

Is the Connecticut link for the gun still deemed to be true? Maybe he went up there to get the gun, stayed there for a bit then back into the city.

it’ll be under $50 a night in January. It’s just a crazy time of year, rates are ridiculous for everywhere.
