I know his sons are adults now but how bloody awful to know that the Mum you lost as a teenager was in fact likely murdered by your Dad who then went on to murder his next partner too.

Terrible sentence. My guess is the judge gave the sentence he could under current guidelines given the age of he perpetrator. However he has to prove he is no longer a danger before he will be released. They can and do refuse parole to people s felt the risk to society is too great.

This girl lives in the same town as me . I don’t know her but having had a quick look at the situation it seems she was 18 when she met the father who was by then in his late 30s as he’s described as “in his forties” now. This is an immediate red flag to me...and it’s a huge imbalance of power...
