GUILTY IL - Four Owen kids, ages 5-12, die in arson fire, Percy, 10 May 2013

We used to be, but Gov. Pat Quinn abolished it in 2011. They are hoping for a sentence of natural life for this guy. In my opinion, that is too good for him. Hopefully, he will be haunted by images of these poor kids every day of his natural life. The funeral was today and I heard that...

GUILTY IL - Four Owen kids, ages 5-12, die in arson fire, Percy, 10 May 2013

Tonight, the visitation for the four children was held at St. Mark's Church. I have chosen not to attend the visitation or funeral since I feel that I was only an aquaintance of the family through business. With respect for the family, I feel that this time is for them to spend with those close...

GUILTY IL - Four Owen kids, ages 5-12, die in arson fire, Percy, 10 May 2013

I live in Steeleville, Il , which is not even a five minute drive from Percy. The rumors right now are flying. I've heard the laptop story, but can't vouch for the truth in it. Today, the eighteen year old girl who survived came into the store with some relatives. She seemed to be holding...

Sheri, Garrett and Gavin's remains may be moved to Chicago

I haven't heard any news yet about when they will be moved. I live 15 minutes from Chester, but I don't go there very often. Maybe on my way to visit my family for the holiday, I can make a trip through the cemetery to check it out. I don't understand how the parishioners of Ron Coleman's...

Sheri, Garrett and Gavin's remains may be moved to Chicago

Today, Randolph County Circuit Judge Richard Brown decided that the bodies of Sherri and her boys can be moved to Chicago. He decided that the interests of Sherri's mother outweighed those of the Colemans and that her family had waited long enough. Finally, Sherri and the boys can be laid to...

    Three critical questions

I lurk here mainly, but I have been tossing around the whole scenario of that night in my head for some time. I've been considering that the Ramsey's came home that night with both kids awake. At some point, probably not to far after they arrived home, the kids had partaken in pineapple. I can...

The Coleman Murders - Michael Cuneo - One Last Kiss

I bought the book and am reading it now. It is very hard to put down and even though I don't know any of the players in this story personally, I am familiar with the names since I used to live in Chester, IL. One of the local papers had a front page story this past week about the book. The...

Identified! MO - St Louis, N 6th St, BlkMale 16-40, UP9815, dressed in suit & tie, poss traveling, Jan'12 - Joseph Daniel Pierce

Just a random thought, but it seems he probably wasn't indigent. Maybe it was a suicide and he thought that if he carried no identification, authorities would not be able to identify him. Then after a while, his family could claim him dead and collect on insurance.

    They have a verdict!!!!!!!!!

I'm just astonished by this verdict. I wonder if Casey will vow to search for the real killer of Caylee like OJ has been looking for Nicole's murderer all these years. Wouldn't surprise me if she pointed the finger at George.

The jury - VERDICT IS IN! GUILTY!!!

I'm so glad for the guilty verdict. I wonder if Dad Coleman jumped right on the phone to TL to give her the verdict like he did concerning the murders? That one act spoke volumes about the kind of people they are.

The jury - VERDICT IS IN! GUILTY!!!

The article I'm quoting from is from 'The County Journal'. It's a local area newspaper out of Percy, IL.

The jury - VERDICT IS IN! GUILTY!!!

Also, in the paper, according to Dad Coleman, "The arm scratches were from putting up the satallite dish and it was not unusual for Chris to take time off from work occasionally." "He told me he took off work all the time." said Ron Coleman. :floorlaugh: The one thing I did find interesting...

The jury - VERDICT IS IN! GUILTY!!!

Apparently, the elder Coleman's are using denial to help pull them through. IMO anyway. According to the local paper, the Ron Coleman stated, " He(the Columbia police chaplain) told me the victims had been strangled. and I passed the news on to Chris." This is how he explains Chris not asking...

The jury - VERDICT IS IN! GUILTY!!!

Hi, all! I've been a member here for a while, but don't post much. I live in one of the towns nearby Chester, Il, but I did live and work in Chester many years ago. Just picked up one of the local newspapers this afternoon, and they have done a great job covering the trial, but the article that...

    Christopher Coleman

I lived and worked in Chester, Il in the early 90's. Back then, Grace Bible Church was just a small church. In the past probably ten years, it has grown quite large with a big, new building and an increase in membership. The people are just devoted, but from what I have heard around, I wonder if...
