Every baby is different. Some babies sleep through the night by 3 months and others 2 years. I don't know any mother that would set an alarm clock. The baby is the alarm. That said some babies wake and feed like clockwork.

I actually don't find it that odd that they would play together. My 12 & 15 year olds will play with younger kids in our "circle". They will play catch, ping pong, frisbee etc.
