GUILTY UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon charged in death of baby Victoria, Guilty on counts 1 & 5, 2025 retrial on manslaughter, 5 Jan 2023 #8

Does anyone know what happened to CM and MG when the jury were discharged? Were they released from custody? What is the process for requesting a retrial? Initially I thought it ment they were acquitted but that doesn't seem to be the case. Can't seem to find out online sorry if it is a daft...

He didn't leave any DNA because he was quick not clever. He blamed TM because it was the best story he could come up with to fit what he knew was being presented in court. Opportunitist nothing more. The doubt regarding time of TM checking Alesha comes from his mother, after the court case...

Interesting analysis of the case.... How killer tried to convince jury with a mask of innocence "While the teenager's name will remain unknown to the general public until legal protection ends when he turns 18, it will be on the lips of every prisoner in Scotland. And as he is set to begin a...

I see the press have applied to have the restriction lifted so they can identify him, I would have thought this would automatically get rejected so does the fact they are discussing it tomorrow mean that the judge is actually considering it? Does anyone have any knowledge on this and if it's...

Me too, I honestly think if it were me I would have found any excuse not to have to do it. I couldn't have sat through alot of the evidence. Wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall right now though!

14:40 Jury still out The jury is still out, considering its verdict. The judge earlier told jurors: “Sympathy for the accused, Alesha, members of the family or anyone else must play no part in your deliberations nor any preconceptions about the crime.” The accused teenager denies the charges...

Because of how the process of arresting charging and a case going to court, and the evidence requirements that must be met for each stage, an arrested person will always be advised to say no comment as there is already some form evidence against them, any admission of any connection however...

He would have had a lawyer, who would have advised him to say no comment.

Curious to what people's thoughts are about the charge of defeating the ends of justice being dropped? I get they dropped it due to lack of evidence, but by doing so are they giving the jury a reason not to convict? What I mean is that if he hasn't tried to cover his tracks so to speak then...

Yeah he has to mention those things, he has to be impartial and in someways its irrelevant what he thinks, but a bias judge doesnt help a case.

Does anyone know if any one has ever been found not guilty using this type of defense because I don't think so? "My seman was planted"....? The only equivalent I can think of is someone saying "oh there not my drugs they must have been planted" and I reckon everyone who has said that has been...
