I am thinking that her friends are suspicious of someone and mentioned it to LE but maybe didn't say too much since they weren't sure where she was. BUT maybe now that she has been found in the way she has they will be disgusted, they will want justice, they will feel compelled to say more. JMO

This is what bothers me the most. If they sent her to live with grandma then why wouldn't they send the $$ there? Or actually do the right thing and report to the agency sending them the $$ that she no longer lived with them.
