What I always found weird was that in both the 2008 and late 90s re-enactments it shows her standing with her hands on her knees talking to someone in a white VS series 1 Commodore wagon. Yet the whole "white VS1 Series 1" thing only made the media around 2015. Frankie denies she ever talked...

Hmm, Datsun 260C looks to be a fair bit bigger than a Gemini: 260C: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attachments/post-war/33503d1217346935-my-datsun-260c-330-restoration-1976-datsun-200c220c260c330_int_range7.jpg vs Gemini http://automotoclassicsale.com/sites/default/files/ebay_162124040713_3.jpg

Would it be possible to mix up a blue 82 Gemini with a Datsun 260C at night?

The type of vehicle was only identified in the last couple of years, thanks to forensic testing in subsequent reviews. If my memory is correct, the original macro team actually "lost" the boot fibres and they were only found years and years later.

I'm no fan of Caporn... but come on, there was no DNA testing in WA in 1988. Even in the 1990s DNA testing was nothing like it was today. It's only recent advances that have become available in the past 5-10 years that likely have allowed them to get DNA matches at all. The police did mangle...

For SS, she had already had called a taxi and was waiting for it. He would have only a couple of minutes to chat her up and convince her to abandon her taxi and come with him. Possibly, but unlikely. For JR and CG, again possible, but given it was known girls were going missing from Claremont...

Pretty quickly - you just attach a special phone with a metal clip and clip it to the copper telephone wire. It's like putting a peg on the clothes line.

Please ask your Dad whether it was common for smaller suburban exchanges to be manned at night. If not, could any Telstra technician rock up during the night and let themselves in? Were there any specific security procedures? Would they have kept records of technicians entering and leaving?

In those days phone lines came to a junction point typically under the footpath not too far from the property. Telstra could access them by pulling up a small concrete or metal slab with a special tool. From here they then ran in trunk lines to the exchange. This is becoming less common today...

Except we know that she did make a call from that phone booth from phone records, and witnesses saw her waiting there alone. Perhaps he tapped the phone line from a short distance a way. When he heard a pretty young girl make a call for a taxi, he put magnetic Taxi plates over the Telstra logo...

Maybe he lived in the Western Suburbs in his earlier life and moved to Kewdale later on? Real estate records show the house was sold in 2000. Maybe that was when he went from renting in the west to owning in Kewdale. I imagine the average Telstra worker probably couldn’t afford a place in Claremont.

Sutton's post said it was the FRONT seats that were removed, the back seat was found in place. You're saying the opposite. Do we know which is correct?

96/97 timeframe? Maybe the old industrial area of Subiaco that is now Subi Centro. When did they start that work? Also there's was a bit along Stubbs Tce in Shenton Park, beside the rail lines. Nothing big time industry though, "light" industrial at best. I guess it depends on the context of...

GreenDevil, you've consistently said the MM thing is purely a red-herring used to invoke a reaction from POIs that the police can then monitor. What kind of "reactions" would you expect the POIs to display, and how would the police observe this? For example, if a POI's house was bugged, would...

I'm ruling out 3 (IMO of course) based on the fact Frankie's mate identified a white commodore wagon. Interestingly, even though the cop only verbally says "all we know about it is it was a light-coloured vehicle" in the CIA doco, the actual car in the re-enactment is clearly a white VS...
