Even if she did do something to stop it and ended up with injuries as has been suggested, she probably didn't do anything to report it afterwards (unless he was threatening her? Switch?). Who knows, maybe she DID report it and that's why they were found quickly?

I was under the impression at the time that it was in the dark. I vaguely recall something about her going *back* to the site but I was definitely under the impression it was in the dark from the time of the postings. Someone not dealing with timezones may remember better though?
