With all of the attempted abductions in Iowa this spring and summer, that very well could have been the reason for having a stranger danger refresher discussion, IMO. FYI, from what the local news said last night the body in the lake was in a state of decomposition that it had been there much longer than what it would have if it was one of the girls, which is why they have ruled that out.

For those that aren't local, this town is about an hour and a half from Evansdale. Numerous reports of a white van attempting to lure children into vehicles over the summer in this area. Some others with different vehicle/perp description, but I would say we are now at least over 10...

Waterloo is part of the Cedar Valley, which is what she was referencing, not a town called Cedar Valley. This would include Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Waverly, etc.
