I think she was trying to "play poor" so Travis would feel sorry for her and then she could make him feel like her hero for rescuing her and getting Cinderella a dress to wear to the ball. Another manipulation for her.

I am afraid this is going to be another one of those cases where the child just vanishes. I remember the baby that dis appeared while Mom was on the porch with friends. So sad these children gone with no trace or resolution.
