I can't tell you how happy I am to have found you!
I am a retired (not by choice) Trauma/Surgery RN. My experience was almost 100% in the Operating Room until I had a devastating electrical injury at work after touching something that had just been repaired moments before, and I was the lucky person to touch it first. Everything has changed since that day, but it's a long story. I did spend the next several months doing 'chart review' for the hospital, which is a 'light-duty assignment, spending days reading the charts cover to cover of any patient who had a bad or unexpected outcome while hospitalized, looking for any piece of data that might help the hospital learn from any deficienies or procedural mistakes.
I am not well, many of my organ systems have been scarred from the electricity, I have a spinal injury that causes me to be in pain almost 24/7 and I'm constantly forgetting what I'm talking about by the end of my sentences. I slip between awake and asleep several times a day and I also fall down a lot. You can probably guess that my life mostly revolves around my medicines, my bed, and my tablet. Oh, and my husband walked out after telling me for months that I had to get better or else. I'm raising an amazing teenage daughter on my own now.
I could really use you all, and maybe find some way to be useful again in the process. I've forgotten so much, but I would love the chance to see if I can be of any help.
