Found Deceased UK - Caroline Everest, 18, Sheffield, 22 Nov 2015

So does this mean that her death would have been caused by drugs/drink/sudden illness then?

I would have thought that the two charges referred to having conducted the sexual activity on two occasions? Though criminal law isn't my area of expertise.

I think this is absolutely what happened. LH used SB's house so as not to attract attention about having a young-looking KH at his house. I think LH and KH then had consensual sexual activity and SB was jealous - maybe LH rubbed it in his face/made comments as well? Then SB offered to drop KH...

We used to get dropped off outside our school by our parents when we were teens as our school was right near to the high street (which was impossible to park on/drop off on) and we'd all go get our nails done or dinner together - I'm sure her parents didn't find it especially suspicious unless...

It broke my heart to see they've decorated Becky's room 'as she would have liked it'. There's so much obvious regret at the quality of life that Becky had with them, and they're trying to put that right now. I hope it brings them some comfort at least.

I'd eat my hat if SH gets done for murder, there's just not enough evidence to overcome the required burden of proof. My own take on the matter is that NM killed BW as a spur of the moment rage (so lingering somewhere between with intent and accidentally), tried to fix the mess himself and at...

Nope she will be cross examined by the prosecution barrister who will throw a load of implicating 'questions' at her. She can answer no comment or not answer, but the prosecution will continue with their questions. The jury are likely to infer an outcome from her reluctance to answer questions...

I thought she has been charged with murder? But she is pleading not guilty to that and all the other charges?

Apparently it's not permitted in any circumstances, at least in British law.

Ah an American legal phrase. In the UK she physically does have to take the stand, but can provide no comment answers. Would imagine her barrister has advised her against this depending on how much evidence has been disclosed against her.

Have asked my best friend (a criminal barrister!). Would imagine it would only be permitted in exceptionally few circumstances but will see what she says.

I'm legally trained but don't practice criminal law, hence why I didn't understand what you were trying to say. She does have a right to remain silent, and this is usually used as a tactic prior to being charged or when the evidence against you is questionable. The evidence here is pretty...

I think she was dismembered in order for her body to be easily hidden. The Barton Court storage was just temporary, I'd imagine they intended to put a body part here and a body part there. Maybe bury them in different areas or in different rivers? Bristol is very close to the coast so they might...

I'm a bit confused by this, why wouldn't the jury actually see SH speak? Surely she will be cross examined by the prosecution?

SH has now been charged with murder, in addition to joining NM in false imprisonment, perverting the course of justice and unlawful burial charges plus four counts of making indecent images of children. NM has additionally been charged with sexual assault and voyeurism charges unrelated to...
