Im glad LE are looking through the case again as well. I believe it was Sgt Holeman that described the early days of the investigation as chaos in an interview. Maybe THE lead slipped through the first time that wont this time around.
Thanks GJR. I left there so mad that BG had a significant head start on LE as far as getting away from Delphi and distancing himself from the crime. A few days later, when Libbys evidence was shown to the public, I thought the tables had turned. But here we all are.
My first thoughts were...
Id never participated in a search like that prior, but it seemed like LE was doing everything logical. They had maps for everyone of the trail system, and groups were sent out with a fireman for direction. The larger area was divided up on a big map at search headquarters and locations were...
The creek wasnt high at that time, but the water had to be very cold, likely just above freezing. I have a hard time thinking it was part of BGs plan to cross the creek for seclusion. IMO I think he lost control of them and the girls ran across the creek to escape towards the trail/ more...
Im glad I helped, but it was a traumatic experience that I think about often, especially with this guy still on the loose. We were required to check out to ensure no one was lost while searching. I saw a lot of sadness when I went back to check out. Ive loathed BG since and look for him daily...
I agree that he is likely an unlucky at life type. Everyday I kind of expect for an arrest. Why? I guess because I expect his luck to run out. Im not from Delphi, but I helped search on 2/14. Ive checked the news everyday since hoping to see hes screwed.
IMO
I cant get myself to think that a serial killer committed this crime. The sticking point for me is witnesses. Before the crime, BG had to know he was observed in the area by at least one person, maybe even multiple people. I dont think this killer is highly intelligent. Just lucky... so far...
A valid point. Ive never been on the MHB, but if I ever were, I certainly wouldnt walk it with my hands in my pockets! He wasnt afraid hed need to catch himself I surmise.
MOO
This is how l think the BG possibly came across the victims here as well. He couldve been there before that day surely, or he couldve walked the trail the first time that day. If he had walked the trail only once, he wouldve known it wasnt a loop trail where people could be anywhere along...
If LE has a sentence or two it would reveal a lot about location. Word choice, vowel emphasis, etc. As a side note, I dont have a link but I recall an article involving IP where Delphi police used voice analysis as evidence.

The public doesnt know how much the BG spoke outside of down the hill. Im hopeful LE has more of his language to use for regional dialect analysis. If so, they at least have an idea where the BG grew up and developed his linguistics.

Im not convinced DN is the BG, however I was thinking back to when he was apprehended in CO. Were not those kind of people. That was his quote in response to police inquiry about hatchet threats. After pleading guilty to these accusations, I think that does show he is indeed that kind of...
