I also came here after finding the above link on Reddit. Is there a way that we/someone can contact the authorities in that area for them to check if the remains are Lincoln?

Lamar was found deceased in May 2017: https://patch.com/new-york/williamsburg/missing-school-safety-guard-found-dead-east-river-police-say. I knew him personally. He was an incredibly nice guy. I'll miss him.
