Late Wednesday afternoon, authorities confirmed search dogs had made some scent "hits", but no one had yet to stumble upon any physical evidence aside from what was discovered in Mittendorff's car.
I've seen signs for a Zumba class at my local (Fairfax county) fire department - they could have other things as well - so I suppose it's possible that she was at class while at work. I don't know if anyone ever specified where this fitness class may have been.
They probably mean they are sending Virginia Task Force One, Fairfax County's search and rescue team is one of the best in the country (if not world).

I don't know the area that well - just the trails themselves. I love hiking, but I'm not venturing very far off the trails to chance an encounter with a copperhead. There is a camping area near the beginning of White Oak Canyon - I don't know if a back country camping permit would be needed...
