I think that John and Patsy disagreed what to do with the body (John wanted to dispose of it and Patsy did not want her baby out in the cold) and then may have decided that they wanted the body to be found and John got frustrated when that didn't happen and "found" it himself.

It matters because it is highly unlikely she was wearing the size 12 to the White's dinner. Which means she ended up in different underwear. The Ramseys claim she was asleep so unless she woke up in the middle of the night to change herself the killer or stager changed her into the size 12...

JBR was found in size 12 Wednesday underwear, did LE find a pair of size 6 Wednesday underwear? It is possible they did not exist or they were hidden and never found but the Ramseys would be taking a huge risk counting on them not being found. I know Patsy's sister could have possibly removed...
