There are quite a few hotels within a couple miles of the courthouse. The Aloft Tallahassee and the Double Tree are in walking distance of the courthouse and the downtown area. Also just a few blocks from FSU.

I believe they were seen casing the rear of the house, and it would only take a minute to cut through. Maybe one of the perps was dropped off quickly and then met up at the house. They knew Dan was going home.JMO

Just to comment on the confusion of the graphic on the Tall. Dem website, the graphic that was on the front page of the print edition was different and more of an accurate representation of the case as we know it.

That is an interesting article and the daytime burglaries do show some similarities, but I don't think that they could pull off what happened to DM I just don't believe that people who break in houses will carry a gun with them. We do have some dip sticks here in town, but those are interesting comments. I don't recall that any info re: the prius came from any source other than the neighbor. IIRC they did not release that info coming from DM's cell.
