I can't remember exactly what page I saw the particular comments on- but, it was a "local news" reporting on the latest news conference. I follow several news channels and to be honest, I've seen many sympathetic to GS posts over the past few days. The development of Social media was like the...

I just made the mistake of reading some of the most popular comments on an updated article (most recent pressed) on FB. I understand Devines frustration now, I am literally wanting to throw my phone after reading some of the comments- seems this man has a freakin fan club. One woman even wrote...

I'm thinking that's why this won't end up well, Something triggered him out of his comfort Zone- maybe she was becoming more resistant now that she had her dad back, who knows, but he seems desperate.

I could have written this myself, I tried to write a bit of my thoughts and experiences that are similar to yours but you did such a much more eloquent job. thank you and I'm very sorry.

I agree but, why would they release this kind of quote from her? I would think it would just make things worse for Carlie- I mean, really? If he's in some desperate mental state, what would this do? First they have her pleading with him and now she's rejected him publicly? I don't blame her...

Can't count on that- there's a certain level of dissociation for many as well as a sort of brainwashing. A lot of kids will go out of their way to appear "normal" at all costs to avoid being "detected" as someone who is being abused. I know I did. It really just opens them up for more abuse...

Probably now in hindsight- maybe others came forward now that they found out he has taken her?

Thanks, but I'm ok. I'm not trying to make this about me, just kind of hit home because I didn't speak up until it was too late. I had segregated myself from my family. Something had to have caused alarms to go off for some, but it's easier to live in denial. Maybe those now adults didn't know...

Because so many of us victims believe that it was "us" who were the problem and that's what made us targets...erroneously. The grooming makes it very hard to not feel like you're a part of it- especially when it happens at a young age. Molestation messes with your head. I'm a bear of a mother...

My comments earlier about her response weren't that I felt that she should stick up for him, because we all know how that goes so many times- that wife who makes excuses and is in denial. I found it quite telling that her immediate response to the media was "negative". As if there were something...
