what I am saying that why on earth would Gerry chase down Smith to get an efit knowing that it was him who Smith saw Why when was in the clear - case closed implicate himself by getting the witness to do an EFIT - why would he do that ? whatever the timelines they still found their way...

It was the Mccanns PI who went to Ireland and found Smith and got him to create the Efits - so yes Gerry did dig this up why on earth do that if he knew it was him all along - why would he creat an efit that would implicate him again ?? Even if it were two years - they still were given...

they released it to the Police - at the time there was loads of false sightings and massive press speculation as per usual - the PI agency were were involved were proving to be less than reliable and in fact corrupt - so give it to the LE You still don't address the point as if it were Gerry...

the whole thing is just crazy - we have a witness ( smith ) who admits he didn't see the face of the person walking with child as it was dark, the person had his face obscured and he didn't have his glasses How could he even do an efit and then we have the main suspect in some peoples...

yet again we find british press lead every one in a merry dance . When will people learn that most of what is written in the tabloids is made up at best or vastly exaggerated The fact that any LE are looking at all possible scenarios should be welcomed and not ridiculed - I do laugh...

All legal systems are different , in the UK the police make a case and sent it to the CPS - who then decide if there is enough evidence to go to trial - not sure exactly how it works in Portugal. You are right in saying that dogs evidence alone would not be enough in UK . another question...

question for you as you seem to be very passionate about the dogs . Do you think the alerting evidence is enough and all the police need to arrest and go to trial ?? Now I am not being facetious but we cant put the dogs on the witness stand - so their evidence would be just that - alerts...

Thank-you - it sorts of makes my point about how important it is then that all alerts must have corroboration . If milk teeth or ancient bones dating back to the 1400's can illicit an alert from a cadaver dog then the LE must be careful . That is why it is so dangerous to rely on this evidence...

sorry that link doesn't state that they found human remains - all it says that the dogs alerting in the home made them search further I remember the case very well as it came just after the Mcanns - As I remember they found no trace of human remains in the cellar ( where the dog alerted )...
