I have lived 2 block from the area the bikes were found for 10 years and frequent the trail. I have only seen 1 person in the lake a few years go. It is not a swimming lake. Here is a picture of the lake as of noon today.

Many houses in Iowa do have basements, however, our house does not. So many do and some do not.
