I remember this case. I wonder what happened with the murder charges? I remember (or at least I think so) a very credible sighting a few years later but again I don't think it went anywhere.

I must admit, I haven't followed this case closely, but to overlook at whole area behind her house is crazy! I know it's doubtful they'll find something but I'm glad they are actually doing a through search this time.

I'm bumping this case up again. I'm a regular visitor to Websleuths and certain cases stick in my head and stay with me. Michaels is one. I wish it could be solved, it's like he vanished into thin air. A friend of mine moved to the area, so whenever he posts on FB I'm reminded of this case.

This case is one that has stuck in my head over the years. His brother seems to have a theory on what happened, re drugs, perhaps he's right.

I grew up just across the water from the Isle Of Wight, and I remember this case very well whilst growing up, mainly from seeing it reported on Crimewatch. It seems like the family have ideas on what happened, I wish they could get closure on this case. So sad.
