If BL parents started to talk to SB about something possibly legally sensitive before he was officially retained, I would think SB would have interrupted them and said “don’t talk to me about that” or something similar.
I personally think it’s more likely they found out about Gabby’s death...
I doubt his parents would even think of that. Maybe they assumed that if she were with other vanlifers she could keep going. We just don’t know what he told them and we don’t know how much they do or do not know about that kind of thing.
He’s obviously a good liar.
I can think of at least one reasonable possible explanation for BL’s parent’s behavior that doesn’t mean they have an utter disregard for GP’s family.
This is speculation only and NOT necessarily what I think happened. But it could have.

I agree with the theory that Deorr was killed (probably accidently due to negligence -backed over by the truck, the above-mentioned benedryl scenerio, or hurt by the dog maybe-) and think his little bones will turn up in the creekbed, miles away, I’m sad to say. Not because he was ever in the...
It could also be that he was seen driving in that area and when asked to explain why, he said he was going/had gone to the transfer station, which may or may have not been true. Not only would police need to check into the veracity of his claim (to decide to move him higher or lower on the...
It would explain why LE knew so quickly it was a kidnapping. If there was a note, it could also explain how CG became involved so quickly.
Wrapping the earphones around the iphone could 'secure' a note to it and assure it was found.
Interesting to think about.
