It has been fairly mild for the time of year. Daytime temps around 12 deg c and overnight down to 3 or 4 deg c.

Lots of Searches today. I was in Basildon today, big meet up at Festival Leisure park and people then headed off to search local estates. Nothing further. The facebook page is getting a bit "find corrie" ish :-( . People just get so confused and the wrong end of sticks so easily then repeat...

No rivers nearby. It appears that Jack was heading the wrong way from his home so possibly towards Festival Leisure which has a couple of late night clubs and a very large lake! Also this is an area with a large industrial estate, many of those businesses will be closed for Christmas. I hope...

I know from personal experience and stupidity that there are a number of charity clothing bins nearby that a lone person could get trapped in if trying to get some warmer clothing for the walk home (luckily I was not alone)

This is about 10 miles from me. There is a bit of water about, mainly a lake in Gloucester Park and another bigger lake at Festival Leisure Park (known as Bas Vegas to the locals). Not sure exactly where Jack lives but if to the west of Basildon then don't know why he would head through...
