Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 10

The secrecy is so disturbing to me (as well as driving me insane). I just don't get why this is allowed to go on. There have been trials in the past that were popular with the media, televised, analyzed etc. Casey Anthony, for one. O.J. Simpson for another. I don't remember these trials...

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 10

I hope JM brings this up this time too. I was literally screaming at my TV for JM to ask her this. I know, ridiculous, right? I wanted to create some sort of telepathic brain tether between JM and me. This was a clear and blatant lie...more damaging to her credibility than even the gas can...

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 10

I guess it could apply to couples in committed, exclusive relationships. But TA and CMJA were NOT at the point the so called infidelity occurred. And so what if he did cheat on her? My husband left me for another woman after cheating on me for a year. It never once crossed my mind to brutally...

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 10

Yes! I was so confused during the first trial when Jodi said that the "finger breaking" incident supposedly happened as a result of her refusing to lend Travis money. Yet, it was shown in text messages that a day or two later that he deposited money in HER account. I was frustrated because JM...

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 10

I have a hard time taking anything this woman says seriously if she is really contending that men who prefer women with Brazilian waxes are demonstrating a predilection for little girls. That is absurd. She is supposed to be a sex expert? In what century?

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - 11/14/14

Yes! Even if everything she said is true, (obviously it is NOT), none of it is justification for murder. Travis was a great person but he was flawed, like all of us. There is no perfect murder victim. And any of those flaws should be irrelevant in a case where a murder is premeditated. She...

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - 11/14/14

I completely agree. The Hughes definition of abusive is different than the average person. They are viewing the situation between Jodi and Travis through the lens of their religion and that colors their opinion. That is why you can't judge a person or their behavior based on emails alone...

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - 11/14/14

That would be breath-taking! Amazing strategy. Sometimes I wish JM was reading some of this stuff because the thoughts on here are so brilliant.

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - 11/14/14

Thanks for the great welcome! I am a regular trial watcher (oh how I miss Court TV)...but this trial in particular has really gotten under my skin. The audacity and clear evil of the defendant is just astonishing. I have analyzed this case and testimony to a degree that is, frankly...

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - 11/14/14

I have been reading here since the first trial but rarely comment. I have to say that I am thoroughly confused by the DT version, or interpretation of this relationship. According to them now, all Jodi was to Travis was a "booty call". Yet, there are many photos of them spending time together...

GUILTY UT - Michele MacNeill, 50, found dead in bathtub, Pleasant Grove, 11 April 2007 - #2

There is a technique known as "statement analysis" which is very effective at sifting out truth from lies. Look it up online. I'm not an expert but reading a little about this has really helped me in judging whether a person is being honest or deceptive on the stand. Hope that helps : )

    trial day 51: REBUTTAL; #156

In my opinion, the DT adding the Manslaughter option is just a way of saying, "Well, if you don't believe our lies about self-defense and DV, then maybe you'll pick this one instead." Some of the jury questions seem to give the idea that a few jurors might be leaning in the direction of "crime...

trial day 44: the defense continues its case in chief #134

I've been doing some reading on male stalking victims and one of the things I've read is that male victims typically don't seek help and may even joke about the stalking. Men may be uncomfortable psychologically by the stalking behavior but since they don't perceive the female as a physical...

trial day 38: the defense continues its case in chief #110

Thanks...I rewatched too and I could have sworn she admitted that she borrowed money from him. She even sent him a text saying that she would make it up to him or something. Good thing I'm not on the stand...JM would be asking me if I had problems with my memory for sure : ) I don't know know...

trial day 38: the defense continues its case in chief #110

Seriously, no court? This is absurd. If I were on that jury I would be royally annoyed. Heck, I'm NOT on the jury and I'M royally annoyed. Oh well. I was wondering if anyone here could answer this question for me. I recently rewatched Jodi's testimony regarding the "broken finger"...
